Certificate of Analysis (COA) for kratom: how to read the report
A Certificate of Analysis (COA) is a laboratory report for one batch of kratom. It contains the alkaloid content, heavy metals, mycotoxins and microbiology.
Heavy metals in kratom: limits, testing, EU standards
Lead, cadmium, mercury, arsenic and nickel are monitored in kratom. The limits are set by EU Regulation 2023/915 and USP <232>. Measurement is by ICP-MS.
Mycotoxins in plant powders: contamination and control
Mycotoxins (aflatoxins B1, B2, G1, G2 and ochratoxin A) form through the action of moulds during drying and storage. The limits are set by EU Regulation 2023/915.
Microbiological safety of kratom: tests and limits
TAMC, TYMC, E. coli and salmonella are monitored in kratom under EuPh 5.1.4. Limits, causes of contamination and common detection methods.
HPLC and ICP-MS: laboratory methods for kratom analysis
HPLC determines the alkaloid content (mitragynine, 7-OH-MG); ICP-MS measures heavy metals. Sample preparation, LOQ and a comparison of the methods.
Storing kratom powder: alkaloid stability
Kratom powder is stable for 12-24 months in dry, cool and dark conditions. Mitragynine oxidises to 7-hydroxymitragynine with access to air and light.
Kratom extract vs. powder: production technology
Powder is produced by grinding dried leaf; extract by water or alcohol extraction and subsequent drying. The designations 10× and 20× describe the concentration ratio.
Cheap kratom vs. quality kratom: price per gram, large packs and how to recognise a legal seller
What makes up the price of kratom in Czechia, why you will not find 1 kg packs or 'wholesale for everyone', how much a gram costs in our range and how to recognise a quality, legal product.
