White kratom
The lightest end of the colour spectrum: leaf from an early harvest, dried long in the shade without direct sun. In the catalogue white is two finely ground products from Borneo - White Maeng Da and White Elephant, with a VŠCHT Prague protocol for every batch.
- Early leaf harvest The vein is still light, before the green phase
- Long drying in the shade No direct sun, hence the light shade
- White Maeng Da and White Elephant Two white products, both from Borneo
About white kratom
White kratom is the leaf of Mitragyna speciosa from an early harvest, dried long in the shade or a closed drying room, without direct sun. "White" in the name refers to this pair - the early leaf stage and the drying method - not to a botanical strain or a region. Fresh powder is therefore paler, a yellowish green.
As the leaf matures, white sits at the light, earliest end of the range the central vein runs through - from light through green to red. But the pale colour comes from the long sun-free drying as much as from the early harvest: leaf age on its own does not make the powder white.
White is represented in the catalogue by two products of the same origin from Borneo (Kalimantan) and the same fine grind: White Maeng Da and White Elephant. They differ not in colour or processing but only in how the raw leaf is selected.

WHITE AMONG THE COLOURS
One leaf, four colours
The difference is leaf maturity at harvest and the drying method.
Two factors set the colour: how mature the leaf was when cut and how it was dried. White is the lightest end - early leaf dried long and without direct sun. Green is medium maturity with ordinary drying, red the most mature leaf with the longest processing, and yellow comes from a special drying regime. In the lab reports the mitragynine ranges overlap across the colours, so colour tells you about processing while strength is set by the specific batch - its values are in the table below. The botanical and chemical background is covered in Kratom vein colours.
| Vein colour | Strains | Forms | Mitragynine (COA) | Grind | In stock |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Green | Maeng Da, Sumatra, Thai, Rurut | Powder, Nano, Extract | 1,28 - 1,46 % extract 12 % | finely ground, nano (≤ 50 μm), water extract | 5 products |
| White you are here | Maeng Da, Elephant | Powder | 1,49 - 1,55 % | finely ground | 2 products |
| Red | Maeng Da | Powder | 1,42 % | finely ground | 1 product |

Mitragynin values are ranges from the COA of current batches (VŠCHT Praha) and change with every batch. You'll find exact values with each product.
WHITE VEIN · IN DETAIL
White kratom: the plant, processing, composition and choice
What the plant is and where the leaf comes from
Mitragyna speciosa is an evergreen tropical tree of the coffee family (Rubiaceae), a botanical relative of coffee; in the wild it grows up to 25 m in the humid equatorial forests and river lowlands of Southeast Asia (where kratom grows). The same tree at different stages provides leaf for the white, green and red variants, so the colour is set by the harvest stage and the drying, not by a different species (the plant's life cycle). The white leaf for both our products comes from Borneo (Kalimantan), the main producer today (Indonesia as a supplier).
Early leaf and long drying in the shade
For white the leaf is harvested earlier, at a younger stage; the stems and central veins are removed and it is dried slowly and long - in the shade or a closed drying room, without direct sun and without the fermentation the red goes through. It is the early harvest and the long sun-free drying that give the powder its pale, yellowish-green shade. The dried leaf is then milled to a fine powder of around 80 mesh (about the grind); the grind changes how the powder behaves in water, not its composition.
Alkaloids and what the lab test shows
The kratom leaf holds more than forty alkaloids; the main one is mitragynine, alongside smaller amounts of 7-hydroxymitragynine, speciogynine and paynantheine. How much a given batch holds is set not by the colour or the leaf selection but by the batch itself: the accredited VŠCHT Prague laboratory measures mitragynine and 7-hydroxymitragynine by HPLC, plus purity, microbiology and heavy metals (how to read a COA). A batch without a report is not put on sale.
Two white products: White Maeng Da and White Elephant
Both products are the same colour, the same Borneo origin and the same fine grind; they differ only in how the raw leaf is selected. White Maeng Da is the white variant of a selection by leaf quality - the Maeng Da grade. White Elephant is the white variant of a selection by leaf size - the Elephant. The difference in mitragynine between them in the reports is a matter of hundredths of a percent, and neither is "stronger": the content is set by the specific batch and its COA, not by the colour or the way the leaf is selected. The values for each batch are in the COA table below and on the product page.
"White for the morning"? What may be said about effects
Foreign websites often assign white a "morning" or energising role. But the psychomodulatory substances act forbids a seller from stating effects, and there is no basis for such labels: by the tests, the alkaloid ranges of white, green and red batches overlap. The only permitted wording about effects is the mandatory information on the pack, the same for every colour. What the law and science say is summarised in Kratom effects: what we may say.
Instructions, packs and buying
The same instructions apply to both white powders: 3 g per serving, at most 10 g per day, a 3-day break between uses, always weigh the dose (dosing per the instructions). Store the paler powder like any other - in a sealed pouch, dry and dark (storing kratom). Packs of 25 g and 50 g with mandatory labelling; sold only to persons over 18 after age verification, at our two shops in Prague or in the e-shop with delivery across the Czech Republic (delivery and payment).
Other colours and strains

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Common questions
Short answers to the most common questions.
What does "white" mean in kratom?
The colour of the central vein of an early leaf and, at the same time, the drying method - long, in the shade, without direct sun. It is not a botanical strain or a region: the same tree, depending on the stage of harvest and drying, gives leaf for white, green and red.
Is it weaker or stronger than green and red?
By the lab reports the difference in mitragynine between the colours is in tenths of a percent, and the ranges overlap. Strength is a property of the specific batch, not the colour; it makes sense to compare COA figures, not labels. Stating effects by colour is not allowed by law.
How do White Maeng Da and White Elephant differ?
Not in colour, origin or grind - those are the same. The difference is in how the raw leaf is selected: Maeng Da by quality, Elephant by leaf size. The alkaloid content of both is set by the specific batch and its COA.
Does white mean younger leaf?
The early harvest is only part of it. What makes it white is the combination of earlier leaf and long shade drying without sun; leaf age on its own does not set the colour. So "white" is a processing method rather than the age of the leaf.
How is the powder dosed?
Per the instructions on the pack: 3 g per serving, at most 10 g per day, a 3-day break between uses, always weigh the dose (more on dosing).
