Powder is produced by grinding dried leaf; extract by water or alcohol extraction and subsequent drying. The designations 10× and 20× describe the concentration ratio.

Storing kratom powder: alkaloid stability
Kratom powder is stable for 12-24 months in dry, cool and dark conditions. Mitragynine oxidises to 7-hydroxymitragynine with access to air and light.

Kratom in vending machines, corner shops and without age verification: where it may not be sold since November 2025
Kratom may only be sold in licensed specialised shops and in e-shops linked to a physical shop, always with age verification. Vending machines, corner shops, tobacconists, petrol stations and 'no verification' sales are not legal - and further tightening is coming.
